The notebook and the locked diary or journal contain the thoughts and dreams of the owner. Even with our laptops and tablets, the use of the handwritten note or journal entry has a special sentiment and value that makes these books into mementos. They reflect thoughts and feelings expressed silently and privately. They are also a great way to store up a personal history and pass on our family history to the next generations.
